Does anyone have the Cat Genie litter box? If so how do u like it and how does your cat like it? Also does it have a sensor to not turn on if your cat is using it? If it turns on when your cat is using it she or he might not want to use it again if she got scared from it

Had one. Sold it after 3 months. My male cat was about 6 months old having no litter box issues, then we bought the Genie, and that is when he started peeing elsewhere. He didn't like the Genie. It might work for a brand new kitten that you could get used to it though. Concept was good but if poo ever got caught without getting sifted out before the heated wash cycle and dry cycle began, your whole and I mean whole entire house will smell of HOT POO. Poo is bad enough but HOT, Burning Poo is intolerable... I usually had to go ahead and scoop all the poo before the cleaning cycle to prevent this which kindof defeated the purpose of the machine itself. The pellets track worse than regular litter. The freshness every night was nice though. Definantly wouldn't recommend for more than one cat. It is very small, but takes up more room than a normal litter box. Just My Opinion.. Hope that is helpful.

Doesn't sound like a good product...yuck...Many cats are afraid of things that make mechanical noises, so you have to consider that too.

I forgot to mention that. It was very loud like a washing machine. That is pretty much what it is. My cats ran from it and I think that is why my male started going somewhere else. We had it in our upstairs bathroom and it shook the floor you could feel the shake when you were down stairs. I would have gotten over the noise if my cats would have used it and liked it. I would have scooped the poop too but it just didn't work for us.
