I wonder if anyone can help.

I have 6 cats but one of them who we have had for 4 years has started biting and scratching but its more biting than anything and we have checked all over more than once and none of our cats have fleas at all so does anyone know what else it could be as its now biting that much its getting scabs

I have had cats all my life and never had this before
Thankyou in advance

It could be physical or emotional. Sometimes small parasite burrow under the skin and cause itching....could be some sort of skin allergy to food or the environment....or it could be emotional biting....

If scabs are forming...I would have the Vet look at him. It's certainly not a good thing for him to be biting himself hard enough to draw blood.

Hope that helps....I hope the poor kitty gets relief soon.

My cats donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t do that but my old German Shep did. She would just chew herself, they thought (but were never really 100% sure) that she was allergic to meats and grass.
