what I just saw. I was at a four way stop and I was going to go straight. Well I decided to turn so I turned on my signal and I hadn't gone yet when this big pickup truck ran the stop sign doing maybe like 20 mph. He turned to look at me like Oops, I just ran that stop sign. Then for some reason he cranked the wheel to the right and ran smack into this huge rock that the gas station has sitting at the corner of their lot. This guys truck actually went up on the rock, and then he tried getting his truck back off.
What possessed him to suddenly crank his wheel like that I have no clue.

The knowledge that you would send Popsie after him and then write about it on TCS!

Glad you are alright.

My guess is the guy was probably drunk or something.

Sounds drunk.

My wife got hit at a four-way stop when our new car was only 3 weeks old. Hadn't even paid the first payment on it.

The girl who hit her was upset, and all, but apparently she went without looking. My wife was almost all the way through the intersection.

Here's where it gets crazy. My wife called the police, who came and said that they should just exchange insurance information. My wife let the girl use her cell phone to call her dad, since they just lived a few blocks away. When he pulled up, he started yelling at my wife about running the stop sign, etc. So the police came over, filed the full accident report showing the other girl at fault.

When I called her insurance company, I told them they needed to explain to their insured (the girl's dad) that if he hadn't been belligerent like that, he might have gotten off only paying for his own damages.

Good for the cops. They taught this jerk a lesson!!! And it shows that they do have some discretion in writing tickets, even if they say they don't!!

I went to that gas station today to get something and got the scoop on that guy. I guess he was drunk. Five times over the limit which is .08 here. Apperently he was on his way to pick up his son from school. I'm glad his kid wasn't already with him.
