DH took out the garbage last night and he let Butzie out because he doesn't see her underfoot. I left the door open for her when I saw that she wasn't inside but she hasn't come back yet and I can't stop crying.

Butzie strolled in as if nothing happened out of the ordinary. She must have known that I was upset because when I picked her up and held her, which she usually doesn't like, I petted her and she just kept purring. Then she jumped on my bed and made herself comfortable on my pillow. The princess has returned and I have stopped crying. Needless to say, she will be tremendously spoiled today and the door is staying CLOSED!

My heart sinks whenever I see one of these threads. I'm so glad your girl came home soon. And of course, as if nothing was amiss -- which was perfectly true as far as she's concerned Scritches to the wanderer and for the recovering mom.

I was so exhausted after last night and this morning that I needed a nap. I had to sleep on DH's side of the bed because Butzie is sleeping - still - on my pillow. Don't worry, DH is not going to be using that side of the bed tonight!

It is so emotionally draining went they go missing.
I am thrilled that she came back. When I saw the title I was scared for you but whew! She is back!

That's wonderful news!

Might I recommend that you have him treated with Advantage or Frontline for fleas though. There is a very strong possibility that having spent the night out he may have picked some up.
