Trying to determine age

My feral babies are impossible to photograph.

Given their small size, I had guessed around 4 weeks.
Their eyes were just starting to change from blue to green when I caught them last Thursday.
It's be ever so long since I had tiny kittens, I cannot remember if they start changing at 5-6 weeks or 7-8 weeks.

Any help here?


We are trying to find someplace that will do a pediatric spay, so we need to get their age as close as possible.

I need to know age because I may have to use the "local" (2 hour drive) low cost clinic and they won't spay before 16 weeks.
Aside from the drive, the price is good, $70 total per kitten for spay and kitten shots/fecal

That can't be right!
These girls still fit (barely) into the palm of my tiny hand, they 'might' weigh a pound.

I really need to get a scale.

I would go with making the age about 6 weeks. Wish you had some pics

I think the eyes started changing around 6-8 weeks on my kittens.

I do have some pics up in the pics forum, but none that clearly show their eyes, little buggers only sit still when they're asleep or about to be asleep

Thanks, I think I'll call em 6 weeks old today and count from there.
