So I have 2 very different cats. Jack is the younger of the 2, he is very sweet, social and loves everyone. Raven is aloof. It seems that Raven is only friendly when her food dish is empty.
Lately she has become more and more friendly! She perfers me, but lately she is jumping on my lap or my husbands lap and purring and purring (and her food dish has not been empty).

This is what I think has caused the change. I habe bought wet food just here and there, a sometimes meal. I know they love it but I cannot afford it all the time. I think she is friendlier because she wants wet food more often.

Could that be?

Gotta love it anyway.

Wet food is probably tastier than dry food

If you were refilling the dry each time she asked, then she'd try the same tactic with wet.

Could be the food or maybe she's just getting older. Many indoor cats start becoming more snuggly around the age of 2. They're less interested in running and more in warm places to sleep!
