This is cool for those who have not seen it, paste the link into your browser, and when the map appears click on it to show icons of cameras. You can then click on any camera and it will take you down to street level with 360 degree views. When you click on a camera icon you then get a box come up, then click on the zoom in link. Anybody who has a camera on or near their home town would you mind letting us know? so I got a feeling for the area you live in
Obviously you will not want to share your exact street details but directions to somewhere near you would be cool

Ps Be patient and give it time to load.

Here is an example of a street in Virginia

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
Okay, I'm game...

the first one is where I mentioned in the Spotlight last week about a coffee place: Jim & Patty's. Their coffeecake is divine... this pic is old nad doesn't show them in the new building yet... but the corner of the building shown is where they are now...

And then, the famous Powells... City of Books...

There's one in Kansas City, and that's somewhat close to me. I took a screenshot of where I'll be going for a day next month.

Might be kind of hard to see though.

I recognize that spot! I've seen that water tower many times.

That was pretty cool! None in Erie, but I checked out Pittsburgh and traveled on the roads we do to get to Children's Hospital, and even seen the entrance to the parking garage!

Neat find - thanks!

The only one in my state is Nashville...which is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours away from me! Oh the woes of living in a small town

I was wondering if anyone else here would recognize that water tower. I like all the different colors.

This is the house that I grew up in. I live in another part of the state now and my parents live on the other side of the city, so I don't feel bad posting it. It it almost creepy the way that you can change the angle you are viewing the street...

The tree on the left side of the house is a sycamore tree that I got when I was in Brownie Girl Scouts, one of those little stick trees that they give you for Arbor Day that no one thinks will survive. I think I was 6 or 7. I just turned 25 a few weeks ago.

Man, that thing got huge!

I used to sit in front of the picture window and read.

What, you couldn't find a picture of the "Sanger Sinner" Motel?

I didn't find any in Cedar Hill, either. Lots in Dallas.

Well its great to see the area or surrounding area that you are all from at least
You are all so close yet so far away. Like Jaffacake said its a pity they have not got that in the UK, the nearest you will get to see my abode is typing in my postcode in Google Earth (BA3 3EG) Most Uk postcodes represent about eight houses in a road or street before the code changes, mine is unique to the house that we live in so there is no mistake which is my house, if it were live then I would stand in the garden and wave to ya all
