Yay! Me too!

Now I have a question: Is hatchling sickness curable? Because my orange got it when it hatched when I went swimming and I hid it but it hasn't gone away. And my red and black dragons had it when they were hatchlings, but I didn't hide them and they grew up. I think someone said it just makes them take a longer time to grow...

ah no

sorry to TCS about the problems brought on by the dragons

Guess I'll go remove my dragons, it was fun while it lasted, and at least we can still post links to our scrolls

Who knows, in the future, maybe TCS can have a thread where people can post their dragons to get views, I know I'd go on there

Bye Bye dragons

I've asked about that... if we can post specific eggs or hatchlings in a dragon specific thread. That way users only get bogged down when opening the thread in which case we know what we're in for.

ETA: Ok, here's the verdict on that...

I tried to access the dragon site about half an hour ago, but there was too much traffic. Perhaps somebody who is a member there could check out whether it allows people to copy an image of one of their dragons, save it to Photobucket or the like, and then to use that image as a siggy? I imagine there are copyright issues involved, but if not, that might be a way to show the brilliant graphics without slowing down TCS.

I've replied to your query in the other thread. Unfortunately, after "testing and timing" over the past few days, with a couple of different computers and DSL speeds, as well as a dial-up connection, I've found that forums with several threads or posts with dragons or dragon eggs in siggies are slow to load when the "cave" is down.

Unfortunately that won't work.. I tried. I suppose if someone really wants to, they could take a screenshot with their scroll up, and then crop it to show the dragon they want.

You were quicker than me, Meaghan!
Do we have any artistic people here who'd be willing to create a small, non-copyrighted dragon image that the dragon fans here could use in their siggies to draw attention to their Dragon Cave links?

Just a suggestion since the Incubators thing was brought up.. maybe we could have a sticky thread with just the links to our scrolls posted, and that way anyone who wants to see other people's dragons/eggs and help out with clicks and views can do it there?

Aww that's so lame. Now I don't have anywhere to post my dragons so they'll never grow up. : (

Hope we can work something out!

Just put the link in your siggy? You'll still get clicks that way.

I'm afraid that without being able to post your eggs and hatchlings to get automatic views, you really don't stand a chance of hatching eggs and growing dragons on this site anymore. Just using links is not reliable because it depends on people to be clicking links and then individual eggs and hatchlings, instead of automatic views taking place.

My recommendation is to do what I do. I post here quite a bit because I enjoy the people and reading about and seeing pictures of cats, but I also have other places that I post for my other interests too. I am big into art so I post at a few art related sites. It's at the art sites that I have been posting my eggs. In fact I got a number of people there interested in them too so now there are several of us who are dragon hoarders! lol

but i joined Dragonspam today, so i'll try that way & see if it works ok. if not - oh, well, i just started this about 3 weeks ago, so it's not that big of a deal for me.

Hey, another person from here is on Dragonspam!
Besides using that, and having my link in my signature.. I have my eggs in my Gaiaonline profile.. and I think that's about it.

On a completely random note, I was on the cave website a while ago and saw the link to abandoned eggs, and for the first time, I saw there were a couple hatchlings that were already starting to mature instead of eggs. Kind of surprised me a little, so I tried to take one, but I missed.

2 of my hatchlings right now were abandoned when being close to maturing! Im also a dragonspammer! If you're there you cant miss me! I comment on every single post! (yes its daunting) And I also use gaia! I must agree that the links wont get us anywhere here! Most people dont click the dragons that were in our siggys, but them just being there got them views! Theres other places to post them though! Dragonspam is great! Just make sure to click on some of the others too!

it takes you directly to the post.

ETA: what's Gaia, btw?
Gaia is another place you can put your eggs like livejournal! They have all kinds of different things you can do or talk about online and its kind of fun, but I use it for the santuary only really! I guess I did bling out my car, but havn't done anything with the house yet! This link is just to the egg santuary which has a ton of eggs! But there are other things to do on there just like LJ!

Gaia is pretty neat.. you can talk with people and join guilds and stuff.. though it took them forever to accept my request into the dragon cave guild.
I thought it was a little weird at first, but now I spend quite a bit of time there, and have made a couple nice friends.
