A Hooded Oriole showed up at my feeder!

Today, a male Hooded Oriole showed up at my hummingbird/oriole feeder! They are so pretty! This is a web picture of the bird:

I am waiting for the Bullock's Orioles to show up.

Oh, how beautiful! You know, I lived in maryland for 33 years, and I've NEVER seen an Oriole...and Baltimore Oriole is the state bird. Hmmm, guess they all stayed in Baltimore.

Rosemary, have you ever been to the site enature.com? It has info and bird calls...

Keep hearing Scarlet Tanagers.. but don't see them....

^Mocking bird maybe? I swear the one sitting over my head the other day did a very good impression of one of the standard cell phone ring tones...

I occasionally see Baltimore Orioles here. Usually it's just a flash of orange in the trees and very pretty call. Of course the other types of black birds around here are overly common, grackles (pretty sure they're the great-tailed) everywhere...

Oh my goodness, he is gorgeous! Don't you love it when colorful birds show up?
