I'm trying to find a locket that I can put some of Damita's hair into to wear.

I've got this mental image of a heart shaped locket....but I can't seem to find one.

I'm willing to spend a reasonable amount, but not overly much. The cheaper the better, obviously. But I really need this for myself & I'm getting really frusterated I can't find it.

i like that 1st one the best - you could take it to an engraving place & have a nice script 'D' engraved on it!

See, now those are the ones I've been looking at on Amazon....but I've looked at ones like them in the store & I'm afraid to order one. The ones in the stores just aren't "right" to hold her hair, I mean, the clasps are flimsy & such. I'm worried about it popping open.

Another possibility is Overstock.com

At least there are some reviews so you know maybe what might work.

Maybe another possibility is to get a prayer box pendant.

Amazon has them, too. They open from the top, mostly, and you could put a little plastic baggie in there with Damita's hair. Or tie it in a tuft. I don't know what you saved.

This one might be nice for cat hair... long and narrow.

I'm in awe of the Cobalt ones...ranging from $35-39. That I can handle. I could put a bit of Damita's hair & some of Jack's ashes in it.

Why not check out the pawn shops in your area? You can probably find a pretty antique locket for cheap. Lockets aren't that popular these days so you might have a hard time finding one in the stores. But don't rule out pawn shops or second hand shops.

I'm not sure if I have any pawn shops locally, Linda. Pretty rural area, I know we have antique shops & I already hit them up. Left my name/# with one of them should she get a locket in.

Those are so nice!! Have you picked any out?

I wish I had some of JC's fur or ashes to put in one of those.

I haven't picked anything out yet, now I know what to Google I'm still looking.

The cobalt ones are the ones that caught my eye immediately & I keep going back to them. The others are so gorgeous, but the cobalt....there's something about those that just "feel right". The fancy ones are stunning, but too flashy for my girl.

The website Kelly/clixpix posted it's $35 for the one I like & there's no shipping charge. That's way better priced than the actual lockets I was looking at.
