Red bumps?

I was petting my cat today when i noticed a small bump by his ear and under his chin. I tried to look closer and it was a red bump. Does anyone have any idea what that could be ? i dont have any other cats. Its a small bump with a red in the middle like a small scab. Im thinking it might be fleas? any ideas? he has been scratching himself there more than usual. from what ive read its a flea allergy bite.

Well, your post is pretty vague. It could just be a blemish that he scratched open... it could be some sort of insect bite (not necissarily a flee)... really it could be any number of things.

Keep and eye on it if your worried and if it's still there in a few days to a week then give your vet a call.

I noticed a small lump under Blues chin a while back so i took him to the vet who thought it was probably just a harmless growth. We kept an eye on it to see if it grew or caused him pain so they could to a biopsy if needed but it just went away of its own accord.

I called my vet and described it and he said treat it for fleas if i dont see any improvement make an appt. its small scratches by the areas he scratches like ear chin. He doesnt have any hair loss or difference in behavior at all. Ill keep my eye on him . so far i have treated him with frontline plus.
