What does it mean if a cat gives "Kisses"?

my cat munchkin is a calico but she has some spots on her and the defining "Mascara" of a bengal cat.

aside from that when i pick her up and she is in a good mood she will kiss my face and arms, occassionally my clothes... while purring and such...

i always thought this was dog behavour. my other cat Tai, and cats i have taken care of don't do this...

is this a trait of Bengal cats? what are some...? is she possibly a Bengal or some other breed cross?

She's "grooming" you when she licks you. It means she loves you, and has nothing to do with what type of cat she is.

And it sounds like she's simply a domestic mixed breed, but I would highly doubt that she has any bengal in her.

Oliver gives me kisses all the time! And when he feels like it, lol, he'll do it on commnand (If I ask him to give kisses and he doesn't wanna, he'll give me head butts instead lol)... sounds like your kitty is just groomin her human!

My black lab does it a lot - especially if my dad's been working... like we're not up to her clean standards and she goes into mama dog mode cleaning us up... it's cute

Cats have a wide variety of personalities. You'd swear one of my cats has dog genes, some of his behaviors are so dog-like.
