Cat Intimidation

We had an estimate for replacement windows the other day. Pru was in her hiding place under the sofa. Clio stayed in one spot and watched all the actions. Sam followed the man to each room, getting right beside him as he did his measurements. The guy finally said "Gee, he's friendly, isn't he?" And it was a question and not a statement, because I think he was getting a bit nervous about this cat that was watching his every move. Sam hasn't heard about people needing their personal space and comfort zone.

When the cable guy came all 3 of my tuxedo cats (which can be unnverving because they all look alike) were all over him! In his tool bag and trying to "help" him.

My sister said he said nervously " Nice kitties" and patted one of their heads.

I've heard workmen say to Zane "Nice kitty!" as one might to a puma.

Ophelia's attacked every reapairman through the house, so they have reason to be nervous!

I just think because the cable guy was a man it was a novelty! my family is comprised of pretty much all woman. I live up 3 flights of stairs so most time I go over other peoples houses instead of them coming to ours. So ANYONE coming is a novelty...but a man to boot!
