Hello all,

Since I didn't see the thread, I thought I would start one. The weather here can't make up it's mind, we have a few days and it is beautiful, and today and yesterday it is cooler, and I hear by the end of the week we are back to snow showers. Argh.

I am so tired today, and there is really no reason for it. I went to bed at a decent time, I managed to ignore the cats attempts to wake me in the middle of the night, and I slept really well, but still I am tired. Think my manager will care if I crawl under the desk and nap?

Speaking of work, I forgot my security pass for the third day in a row. When that happens I get to stand out at the guard shack and wait for my supervisor to get called and come down to sign me in. It happens to me every year, once the weather gets better I stop wearing my coat , which is where I keep the pass in the winter! I am a dope sometimes.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Don't worry Jamie - I'm sure this sometimes happnes to your boss too :d used to happen to me a lot when I was in the military and needed a pass to get inside. Maybe that's why I hooked up with a Major who could always let me in (easier to bug your boyfriend then your boss
)

It's a beautiful day over here! The sun is shining and I'm in a good mood. I've been hading some mood swings lately - raging hormones probably... but today is a good day. The sun is out and I have 5 hyacynth flowers blooming in shades of pink and white right across my window

Have a good Thursday everyone!

If the weather keeps up, the way it has, we'll have temps in the 90s, by next week. We, usually, hit 100 by the middle of May.

Rowdy has a new form of amusement - tipping over trash cans. She tips the kitchen trash, several times a day, as well as my can in here. I just pulled her out of the wastebasket, under the sewing table. Its not as if she's bored - she has Opie and the dogs and both the front and back doors are open. The neighbor cats come and sit on the front porch and visit through the screen.

Have a good one.

We just a major lecture on internet usage for personal reason here at work. So it looks like I will be restricted to visiting during the day during break and lunch periods. Of course this doesn't seem to apply to management! Urgh!

Tomorrow I get to go interview students at a local college for co-op summer placement. That should be fun.

I probably won't be online much for the next week as I will be taking off most of next week to take care of my mom when she is home from the hospital. I am going to have to start going online more often at home!

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Hi everyone!
I'm bored as usual here at work. Since I've started my new job as receptionist, there isn't much to do since all I have to do is greet visitors. I don't have to answer the phone like I did at my last job. Luckily I go to lunch in 40 mins.

Wish me luck everyone! I have my BA surgery on Monday and I'm scared to death! Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully everything will go ok.

I think the snow that you're gonna get Sherral will come from my way. We're suppossed to get snow on Saturday.

Have a good day everyone! :daisy:

I let the horses out this morning to cruise the backyard. The mud is so deep in their paddock it is amazing they can even walk. They are looking longingly at the new pasture down the hill where the grass is just now starting to come up. I reseeded it a few months ago. Hopefully come summer time, it will be nice and thick and provide them plenty of food.

It is raining again and windy. I am trying to pull myself away from the paint program- to much fun to mess with! But I have work to do, so best get with it-

Spooky you will be fine! You have lots of cyber support here to help you get through the recuperation time.

Ady try and check in with updates will you? I will be praying for you and your mom-

Sherral how are those gorgeous kittens doing? Found good homes for them yet?

hey Cindy, maybe you should change Rowdy's name to Mellow- maybe that would help? LOL

Luv- thanks for starting the daily thread- and no one here considers you a dope!

Have a good day all--

Hissy, I don't think that anything, short of Prozac, is going to help with Rowdy.

I'm really tired today too, but I have a reason and it's totally my own fault. I went to the club last night, drank a bit too much, danced a lot more than usual (not related to the drinking, they played GREAT music!), and stayed out WAY too late. I was hoping my friend would want to leave at midnight like she usually does and she could take me home then. No such luck, she stayed until closing and Earl was working so I didn't climb into bed until 2:30. So I'm tired from lack of sleep, and sore from a lot of dancing.

Ady, I so understand. I haven't been banned because they know I have a lot of down time, but I'm really supposed to "find" something productive to do. Funny though, the IT manager sits back there and cruises his personal sites all day and it's never a problem.
I'm keeping you and your mom in my thoughts, and I hope it all goes well.

Sarah, I'll keep you in my thoughts too. I'm sure it will go fine, it's pretty routine anymore.
And you know we need pics of the new *enhanced* you!

Just got off the phone with my dad. My mom was very sick all night - maybe a bad reaction to her pain killers. She had violent bouts of projectile vomiting. My dad had to go and bring her a fresh nightie. Poor woman. This probably put a major strain on her healing and may have to stay in a few more days! I'll keep you updated.

Ady,I know that feeling. After my hysterectomy, they gave me morphine. That's how I found out that I'm allergic to it. Besides the projectile vomiting, I itched all over. Have you ever tried to scratch your whole body and vomit, at the same time? Thank goodness, for Benadryl!

Hope your mom feels better, soon. Depending upon the procedure, she should be up and about anywhere from 3 days, to one week. No marathons, for a while, though.
