I have a set of kittens that can not seem to poo in their box. They box is plenty big for them, and they are old enough to really know how to use it. but they seem to pile all the litter into one corner, and then poo outside of the box, right over the edge.
Its getting rediculous, its at least two times everyday

Any suggestions to help them figure it out?

I've heard the mention of kitten attract litter?

I had trouble with just one of my litter of eight kittens, and it took her quite a while to figure it out.

it worked great for Firefox! KittenAttract - available online, but my local Petsmart also carries it.

The attract products work. It cured an elimination problem I had and my new kittens go immediately. Somehow they don't like the box or the litter.

i guesss im not sure why they are having problems... they know to go in the box. they dont have a problem with that, and the box is plenty big... but they scoot their little butts all the way to the edge and poo over the edge of it.

Is the box too big maybe? I just used lasagna pans for a while for my kittens. (disposable of course, LOL)

How old are the kittens and how big is the box. I like to use a shallow box for the first month or two until they prove they can climb in and out of a normal litter box (the one that the adults use).

its a kitten sized box, or at least it has the shallow edges, but its plenty big for them, they are only about 10-11 weeks old.

Well, if they're scooting over to the edge, maybe it needs to be REALLY deep so they can't poo over the edge? (and put newspaper around under the box)
