Hello, I'm new to this site and I think this is the right place to ask these questions.

I have a 9 month old cat and when we play with her for an extended period of time she starts to pant and can barely walk but she continues to play. I was wondering if she will eventually stop when she is done or is it some kind of prey thing in her that causes her to play so hard that she cant move. Is it up to the owner to decide when the cat has had enough or will the cat decided for herself.

And the second question is, when certain people play with her she meows as if shes crying and makes other odd notices. She does this even if they are playing with her the same way as everybody else. She always meows when its the certain people. Does this mean anything?

If you're really concerned, the vet could check her heart function, but I bet she's just being a kitten!

Panting is common in dogs but not in cats although some do after playing. Usually, the cats decide when enough is enough but in your case, I think it is wise that you be the one to stop and let your cat rest. If however, the panting persists, check with your vet.
About the meowing, I have a youngster who is noisier with a certain person than with other people. I do not why he does it but I know he enjoys that person's company. So I do not think there is a problem.
