a car!
A little background - we were going to need a third car by the end of this month when our daughter comes home from college. We got rid of the third car recently.
So, yesterday DH and I went car shopping to the Mini Cooper dealer. I really didn't like them and this is supposed to be my car. A new one with the optiions we like came to almost $30K! And we couldn't have one that we created until July and Jen will be home way before that.
I decided to go on-line and look at pre-owned Mercedes because our C280 is 14 years old and except for today still runs great. I found some that looked interesting and planned to go to the dealer this pm.
Well, I was off to my club this morning in our C280, made a turn, heard a pop, and could not accelerate up a hill. Went right to the dealer, said here is the car for service a week early and BTW may I speak to a salesperson? No problem.
DH was telecommuting so he came to the dealer. We looked at 4 cars. We bought a C320, 2004 with just 26,000 miles on it (this is CA, hardly anyone just puts that few miles on a car in that time). It's sticker price was the same as the base price on the Mini b/4 the options we wanted. Let's see, a new little car with no back seat room or trunk or a MB sedan that had the sports package and everything else we wanted. A no brainer comes to mind. Oh! There was 1.9% financing.
So, here is the new Benz. The color is Red Burgundy - what else would it be in CA?
