...Always throw up hairballs where you are bound to step in them?

I guess I should be happy. When Ivo has thrown up in the past, it's always been roundworms, which means another visit to the vet.

Today, when I came home it was business as usual. I took off my shoes, put down my stuff and spent some time snuggling with Ivo. Then, I went to my bedroom to change into my comfy clothes and stepped right in a hairball. She left it smack dab in the doorway, where I couldn't avoid it.

I guess I have to show her that hairballs go where Mommy WON'T walk!

Christy...You cracked me up! I'm sure it wasn't funny at the moment, but after the fact it was. I always hate that gooey feeling smooshed between my toes when that happens!

Hope Ivo's ok!

Ivo wants to make SURE you know she had a hairball.

Sometimes Snowball gets in my lap right before he has a hairball, like he wants me to make him all better. He always manages to jump back down to the floor before he actually has the hairball though.

Christy - I had to laugh at your description - sorry!!

Before I put my persians on hairball formula food, furball production was a weekly occurance. Always and night and ALWAYS somewhere where either I or (usually) Ken would step in it.

Has anyone seen the following Ren and Stimpy episode . . .

The Cat Who Laid The Golden Hairball
While Stimpy takes a vacation, Ren is left all to himself. He goes looking for something to do when he finds one of Stimpy's hairballs. Ren throws a fit, but he soon changes after the price of hairballs goes up drastically. Stimpy becomes Ren's hairball slave, and soon he runs out of hairballs - the hairball gland being exhausted.

I laughed myself stupid throughout this one!!

And people always wonder why I walk looking at the floor! Too many times spent stepping in "little presents".

Ug, that's the most horrible way to find them!

I think they want to make sure we know they weren't feeling well. Lorie, Trent does that to me too. Like "Mommy, make it better, I don't feel too good."
Poor baby. Good thing they get down before having the actual hairball.

Christy, I have to agree - you made me laugh, but I felt guilty about it!

We've never had "the gift" of a hairball - but when we hear that first hack, we feed them hairball treats. I guess they work, because they must be going out the other end!

Nothing is worse that a fresh hairball...but at least most of you are lucky enough to find them with your feet. I on the other hand, tend to find them with the rest of my body since recently Echo likes to cough them up on my bed! And since I never make my bed....I tend to find them once I've laid down and pull up the covers...and SMACK! Hairball all over! Concider yourselves lucky...this way really sux!

Lucky you! I didn't think Echo would get them much either, but she is the groomer of our household. She grooms Tiki and Bud...heck she'd even groom the dog if she could! No wonder she gets hairballs!

Oh nasty! I'm sorry Shell, I would have never complained if I knew...

Ivo gets hairball control food, but since spring has finally come to Cleveland, I think I have to take it up a notch. Maybe shaving?
