DO not buy Mass Effect or SPORE from EA. for the PC
they got rid of the "EA phone home every 5 to 10 days" to revalidate your game. They still have the "requires internet access to install the first time" restriction.
They still have the limit of 3 lifetime activations.
so if your hard drive crashs, you buy a new machine, uninstall then later want to play the game again, you wont be able to unless you go though EA tech support. in a couple of years, people would be laughing at you if you call to reactive it.
so really you not buying the games you are renting them from EA..
as much as i was looking forward to these games on the PC, I wont be buying them until they remove the rest
anygame that runs SecuROM or DRM.
I know people that instaleld bioshock, only to have it change there hardware setting, i spent 7 hours, getting my friend dvd burner working again so he could copy home movies to a dvd.
All of those in the name of copy protection, Blah for something people can break in a matter of days. The only person that loses money in these deals are the people that would normaly buy the game in the first place.
I will not be giving my money to EA again until these are removed.
