I play poker on Full Tilt a lot. been playing for years. But since I'm newly free I figured I'd check out how far the nearest place to me is I could play some hold-em. Turns out this place is only 9 miles from me. yippee!

So on the 31st Im going to play their 20,000 guaranteed tourney. I've played lots of online tourney's for real money, and I've won a few. So this is a new thing. man had I known this place was less than 10 minutes from me I might have been playing the open tables.

I feel like a kid in a candy store! Wish me luck!

OK, good luck!!! My nephew goes to Vegas several times a year and often comes back ahead of the game.

Best of luck to you. I used to be an avid poker player and often played on Poker Stars, but ever since the stupid Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was enacted a year and a half ago, I've been too concerned about deposit and cashout issues to continue. And Atlantic City and Foxwoods and Turning Stone are all about 3 hours away from me, in 3 different directions. Though I am going to Vegas in October.

I was really hoping that the UIGEA would be overturned (at least for poker) with the help of the Poker Players Alliance, but it doesn't sound too promising. Why the government couldn't just tax and regulate it is beyond me.

Feel free to PM me if you ever want to discuss poker. And let us know how you do in the tournament!

Yeah I know exactly what you're talking about. In reality I've not enjoyed online gaming for a while. The problem is it's too easy to be suspicious that the other's at the table are cheating. With all the bots and hacks it's just ruined the game.

I use to be a general sales manager in the car business. before that I was a used car manager for a large 20 group. Vegas had a good dealer only auction every friday. So I'd fly to vegas on Thursday, gamble a little that night, go to the auction in the morning and fly home. But back then I was only playing black jack. had I been a hold-em player I'd have probably played all night hehe.

I'm anxious to go. I'm 41 years old, freshly divorced and I'm not very social anymore. Not sure why. but this will give me something to look forward to. who cares if I win (well I do) as long as it's fun

Under the cats, mostly.
feel free to PM me too
I play on pokerstars.com and come out ahead of the game often enough. I live about 5 minutes away from Casino Copenhagen where the EPT comes around. Have yet to play live in there (although I do play with friends on occasion) - that's a little dream I may have to fulfill at some point. Even if I lose, I'd still like to play there just for the experience

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
