Hope you can help.....vet apparently doesn't have an answer that works for my cat. I have tried an applicator and shoving the (partial) pill down her throat; these are such nice things to do to a cat that doesn't feel well
!! Not sure how I escaped a big bite!!
Apparently, she can taste the antacid even when I crush it and smash it into her canned, prescription food which is i/d. It took years for her to trust me, so I don't know how long it will be until she does, again! Today, she is just not eating at all and I know it is because she is mad at me.
Please help!!

(Maybe there is an antacid that has no flavor, vet had me put her on Pepcid a/c, and I bought the generic for that)

I've had great luck with Pill Pockets. They are a soft, treat like thing that you can put a pill inside of. Some cats like the Pill Pocket well enough that they just eat it like a treat, pill and all. Since cats don't really like to chew their food and the PPs are oily and slide down well, they don't bite it and taste the pill.

My cats actually don't like the PPs well enough to eat them by themselves. What I do is put the pill inside, pinch off all the excess and roll it into a ball. This makes it *very* easy to swallow. I then bury it in their wet food and they gobble it up without even noticing the pill.

Good luck!
