Hi everyone!
My little adventurer gets into everything. She must have done something recently that pulled at one of her rear claws. Tonight, when I was clipping her claws, I noticed the "nail" was crooked and mostly off of the skin sheath. I touched it and gently pulled it to asses the problem. She cried out.
I decided to leave it alone, thinking it might be similar to when humans damage a fingernail; it'll fall off when it's ready.
I am concerned about the claw. Will it grow back? Is there any chance of her hurting herself on that toe? Will there be long-term damage? Should I take her to the vet?
I may sound like a "nervouse mommy," but I just want to make sure that she'll be okay.
Thank you in advance!
