Our kittens are a little over a week old now and all but one of them has opened their eyes - the remaining one is the runt of the litter (I think), and seems to have that crusty stuff we get in our eyes each morning keeping his/her eyes shut. Is there anything I can do to help it open its eyes, or do I just let time take care of it?

Kittens will open their eyes from 5 - 14 days old. You might want to very gently wipe the eyes with a little warm water to keep them from being too sticky, but don't force the eyes open. I'm sure in another few days the kitten's eyes will open

Surprise!!!
Its not unusual for them to go 2 - 2 1/2 weeks till their eyes are beginning to open. Usually by the 3rd week they should be completely open. Take warm water and gently rub the eyes. When you do this make sure you use different ends of the wash cloth on both eyes. If there is an infection, you wouldnt want to spread it to both eyes. Be sure to use different wash clothes on ALL the kittens if you do them all.

Alright, I'll try the warm water thing.
Thank you for the help!
