YAY!!! Thanks for the surgery and health vibes! (though obviously she still needs to recover from it) She tested negative for FIV and FeLV and the surgery went routine and she's fine! Earl's on his way to pick her up and bring her home.

She will still be separated from the rest of the crew while she recovers and we'll do very slow introductions and hope for the best.
let Ophelia like her and adopt her!!!

Poor little girl...

I went into the bathroom where she's staying, and she was so worn out she didn't even come out of her little cubby (she's laying on a towel, so it's nice and comfy). But when I sat down by her to scritch her head, she put her chin in the palm of my hand and drifted off to sleep.
Poor thing is just so worn out!

Aw, little sweetie!
But she couldn't resist that hand she loves.
Bet she'll be up 'n' at 'em once she's had a few hours

She's definitely feeling better this morning. She was bright eyed and a total sweetie this morning. She's still not 100%, but that's to be expected. She ate almost a whole bowl of food last night, so she much be feeling better.

They did a really great job on her incision. There are no external stitches she can mess with, all internal dissolving stitches. And they shaved her belly high enough that I can see her little belly button. SO cute!
She even rolled over and showed me her little tummy this morning. She usually likes belly rubs, but she wasn't too sure about it without her fur.
It has to feel strange!

This kitty has been waiting for you and God showed her the way. I get teary-eyed every time I read a new post about her. She obviously trusts you very, very much to show you her tummy and allow belly rubs.

Now why do I get the feeling that fate brought you and Annie together? I wonder if "Daddy's girl" Ophelia will be more accepting of her because she's fixated on you?

Oooooh the little cow - she's using every trick in the book!! Getting sympathy by showing her little shaved belly, at your weakest moment post-surgery
