GWTW and the Wizard of Oz are givens, in my book, so they don't count!

Newer
I have not seen the movies up for awards, so current for me is the last few years. I liked Tom Hanks in Castaway - in the last couple of years.

Older
Titanic - I am obsessed with the Titanic!

Oldest
The African Queen-one of the best I've ever seen.

Shawshank Redemption
In Search of Bobby Fisher (about the chess playing kid)
Raider's of the Lost Arc (I just loved this as a kid)

8 mile was pretty good, I just rented it this week. Wish it were longer, I could've watched another hour of Eminem's life

Ok, for the record, I love movies, so it is hard to narrow it down.

Some Kind of Wonderful - it is a cheesey 80's flick with Eric Stoltz, Lea Thompson, and Mary Stuart Masterson. It is a simple premise, but ever since the first time I saw the movie I have adored it. If you like schmaltzy simplistic love stories this is one of the best.

The American President - This one has Michael Douglas and Annette Bening. It is idealistic, and another love story, but everytime it is on I find myself watching it. Michael Douglas for President!

The Lord of the Rings - I find the sweeping majestey of both films to be amazing. I know they differ from the books, but from a purely entertainment standpoint, my goodness they take me breathe away.

I picked these three by my ability to watch them over and over and over again. They're great
