I have a male resident cat that is very playful and curious. I just brought in a new female cat. They are both fixed. I was following all of the advice I had read about keeping them in separate rooms and letting them smell blankets w/ each other's smell on them. When I was going into the room w/ the new cat, my resident ran in and went right up to her. She immediately started hissing and went to the bathroom on herself. Again that same night, my resident cat somehow good into the room and charged her again. I have watched him before w/ other cats and he's really curious and isn't shy with going right up to other cats. Do you have any advice on how to get him to calm down and not charge at my female cat? She is extremely timid and is scared so easily.

Rescue Remedy would be the best bet- it just goes in the aggressors water or food, or even on the back of his tongue.

I agree with Hissy....I think Rescue Remedy would help. I would even give it to the female as it will help soothe her nerves as well.

I have had success mixing the Rescue Remedy in about a teaspoon or a little more of canned food. The cats eat it right up with no fuss.
