My cat Dinah will have surgery today to remove an intestinal blockage...
The vet said that she has not made anyprogress, and they will have to go in to remove the rubber.... I am so so worried that she will get a terrible infection. Please everyone, vibes for a successful surgery and a healthy recovery.
I am such a mess right now. I know they know what they are doing, right now i am just so afraid infection will take her from me. I cant loose my sleeping partner....

well Dinah is home! They did not have to open her intestine. they only had to help push it out by natural means. she came home first thing this morning. and had spent the whole time sitting in my lap. hopefully she will be okay. her poor belly and arm has been shaven. I just want her to eat now and use the litter box, and I pray that she does not get an infection!!! thank you all so much for the successful surgery vibes! I will keep you updated on how recovery goes. thank you al so much again.

Oh I just saw this!! Glad they did not have to open her intestines. I pray that she does not get an infection and she heals quickly. Also that she learns to stop eating stuff.
I hope you are hanging in there. I am sure you have been just worried sick.

Is it normal after a surgery and catheterization for them to pee on themselves? Its almost like she didnt even know she did it... I called the vet and they just said to kep an eye on her, but that has me worried!

Under the cats, mostly.
Yeah Tosca was exactly the same after her op too
Good to hear Dinah's intestine hasn't been opened up - that reduces the risk of infection by so much!!
Great news!

Okay I am glad to know it is common. I was so worried when I saw her do it. We have her sitting on the recliner on a few towels with her favorite toys.... my poor poor girl....
