Why not talk to your doctor and see if you can have a sleep study done? There are some other threads that mention sleep apnea in the lounge, see if you can find and read through a few.

The dysautonomia forum I'm a member of has a very....active advocate for getting sleep apnea diagnosed and treated - there's a link between it and some nervous system issues. I just got through posting over there that though I'm a side sleeper and of course have daytime sleepiness/fatigue, that I doubt I have it. My husband on the other hand, I'm 100% sure he does.
His sleep disturbances wake me up. I'm getting a lot of resistance on convincing him to do something about it.

Don't worry too much about the severe issues that can come with it. You're young yet and if you do have it and get treatment, you can prevent those.
The key is seeking treatment of course.

I snore too. I also have chronic obstructive sleep apnea which causes me to stop breathing during the night for up to 2 minutes at a time!!!

Sleep apnea is a very dangerous thing. When you stop breathing not only are you depriving your body and it's organs, including your heart and brain of much needed oxygen, but you are making your heart have to work harder to get what oxygen there is to your body, which causes your heart to become enlarged and over time it can enlarge to the point where it just can't function anymore and you die. Sorry to be so blunt, but that's the reality of it.

I strongly suggest that you seek out a referal to a sleep study clinic and have one done.

I had one done last year in February I think, and now use a CPAP machine when I sleep at night. And I can't tell you how the quality of my sleep has improved in that time. I fall asleep faster, I sleep better, I dream again, and I no longer snore

Could be some lax throat muscles, jaw alignment, or even palate - as far as apnea causes. Snoring can also be caused by sinus issues. But of course, only a doctor will be able to figure out what exactly is causing your issues.

Good luck convincing your SO to go too... I'm working on wearing down my DH.
