Today on the evening news .. the local ... the cover story was how someone put 10 kittens all of 4-5 weeks in cardboard boxes and taped them shut and THREW them in the DUMPSTER.... The kitten s are seeking foster homes thru the municipal shelter ...

Earlier in the day I called the COPS ( not something I regularly do )... I went to see what Ben and the neighbor dogs on both sides of the street were barking at... Too my HORROR it was a male supposedly human HITTING a bully breed in the head ... I matched out to yell at him and bring out a few of the male neighbors... the "human" was wearing headphones and couldnt hear me ... BUT at this pt had the dog PINNED to the ground and Hit the dogs head to the grd .../ I went in and immediately grabbed the cell phone and then called the info line for the cops number ... I hope they caught him... the "human " had a halti and a prong choker on this dog so I DOUBT there was a behavior issue

I have a loaded gun in the house, thank god in a locked cabinet where I don't have a key!

Guy surrendered a dog earlier this week. 40 lb 8 month old puppy that should be 60-70 lbs. Carried in by hair hair at the base of his tail & his scruff, just dropped him to the ground. Dog is terrified, ducks tucking his head & feet in when you move fast so he can protect himself from the blow!

thank God that the kittens have been saved!!! I myself have gotten 2 kittens who were thrown away like that
That dog-beater was pretty brash, not trying to hide it or anything I am so glad that you did something about Prayers and vibes that the poor dog is rescued

why would you need a gun for that?
baseball bat, stun gun, big stick is all that is needed.
or big biker looking dude like me.

I would have ran over and beat that guy the same way he was beating the dog..

And I'm so glad the kittens were saved, throwing them away in a box like that is so mean! ARGH!

Even I would like a loaded gun for that.

But not to kill - just to painfully main without hope of respite for the rest of his life.

That would do me just fine.

We had a gentleman come to the aid of his wife who was being attacked by a knife wielding man a couple weeks ago. Now both he and his wife are dead, their children are orphans, they had no insurance so the kids are losing the house - what a mess.

As terrible as it is, we need to call the proper authorities to handle these situations.

This type of stuff is exactly what makes me want to .

The guy deserves to be beaten.

I should note I would have used a weapon only to HOLD him there .. see the cops had to go find him as he started moving while I went to get the phone

Did the Cops get him? What happened? Don't leave us up in the air.

and what if he had a gun?
would of advice, never pull a gun on another person unless you fully intended to use it. Or you could be the vicitim. that is not what i would want to happen

Yes he does

OMG! I'd go back later and see if the dog was still there and take it home with me and rehome it!!! I'm not above animalnapping to ensure that an animal is safe. In fact I've done it and would do it again in a heart beat!

I have never done that, but I wouldn't hesitate about doing it either.

Some people are just evil and people who hurt defenseless animals are awful. I can't stand people who pick on the weak and defenseless.
I hope this guy goes to jail and gets a regular beat down hourly.

I keep a mattock handle in my truck for protection, occasional tune-ups on rotten subhumans, etc. The side of the knee is a good target, they always expect you to go for the head. It sounds like these above mentioned subhumans are prime candidates for a good tune-up with the large chunk of hickory. (If you soak them in linseed oil and bake them in the sun for a few days, they stay nice and don't dry out and break.)
I have to use a cane occasionally, so I put a cap on the smaller end. That makes it not a weapon.

Just the thought of this, just trying to picture it, made me nauseated.

Sharky, if you find out what happened to the guy who beat the dog, please let us know.

ARGH!! How horrible!

at least you guys can call police or smth!!!!!! lucky you!!! here, NO ONE cares about animals, we dont have any shelters, any animal police we dont have anything!!! and regular police WILL NOT help in case of situations like this. and guess what? where are a lot of "humans" who do terrible things to cats and dogs. just couple of days ago i heard a story about cat who...nope, you dont wanna hear what they have done to her. but luckily one woman, who is well known here for loving and taking care of animals found the cat and i think she took it home or smth.
anyways, i become very jealous when i watch animal planet and their series about animal police and stuff like that. i wish we had something like this here.
