Ear still not healed from surgery

Simba's ear still has not healed from his biopsy surgery over a month ago. I realize the ear is a sensitive area, but shouldn't it be healed by now? It drys up and scabs over, then once the scab falls off it is back to raw tissue again and the cycle repeats. Poor little guy has been wearing an E-Collar for a month. My vet doesn't seem concerned. It's just a very small area at the slit of the ear, but I keep thinking it should be healed up by now.

I would think it should be healed up by now. Maybe get a second vet opinion?

A wound doesn't heal up after a month, and the Vet isn't concerned????? Yes, I agree, a second opinion is not an option. I would be at another Vet, pronto.
Poor kitty, wearing that collar..it isn't fun at all.

The fact that it scabs, the scab falls off...which is usually an indication of healing...but it's raw flesh underneath? That doesn't make sense to me. Please take kitty to a Vet for relief.

Thanks guys... yea, I know... I'm just very frustrated with my entire vet situation. The vet I currently see has been thru this whole process with Simba and his ear issue and knows the history. It's just hard to start over from square one with someone new. Sigh.... I think this is the final straw...
