That's exactly why we haven't ever been. You also have to think about food and drink throughout the day.

John is up for us if we want to go. I guess they tried once before and only 2 people showed up... but we can do better than that, can't we?!

I guess the big thing for me is when it would be, already have some major plans for the summer that can't change.
Hola! I live in Lafayette, but work for Purdue, so spend quite a bit of time on the West side,

For me, personally, I am willing to drive up to a three hour radius ( a little more if necessary) and we would make a weekend out of it. I don't have any summer plans - no $$$ to spend on a real vay-kay - the only weekend I know for a fact is spoken for is June 28 - we have tickets to a Tigers game that Saturday night. But the way they have been playing, I dunnooooo...

That was my thinking... I'm willing to go +4 hours and I figure I can drag DH with me and we can make a weekend out of it... camping and all that.

I'm thinking maybe somewhere in the Dayton area? kinda right in the middle of the west part of Ohio, not too far for Michiganers or Cincinatti folk, close to Indy and not too far for me at least, plus it's right on the freeways. I'll have to look at a map. Anytime is really good for me, jsut as long as I get about a 2 week notice to request off work

Count me in, depending on when and where. I'm in the Cincy area, but wouldn't mind driving a few hours for a meetup.

That would work for me... it's about 4.5 hours but I can drag DH and make a weekend of it. AND if we could do it June 21-28 then I would make a vacation of it and still get to visit John and the big cats.

It would be nice to meet in a city where we have a local. It certainly came in handy when Katie, Nat, Amy & I met.

And I am just the opposite right now, live on the West side and work at Menards on the South side down by the mall.

hmmm, I suppose I could try and talk my DH into coming that way he could drive. It would depend on his work schedule. He works every other weekend. He could just chill at the hotel while I get together with you guys. I'd love to go the the big cat sanctuary.

I would come if you do it in Columbus. Frankly, there just isn't much in Dayton that qualifies as "fun" (lived there the first 18 years of my life).

Doesn't Columbus have a really good zoo?

Yay
DH said he'd be willing to drive up to three hours to a meet up. Then he can to his own thing while I hang out with you guys. Now hopefully whatever weekend is decided on, DH has off.

OK, Dayton and Cleveland is more like four hours from me but I don't think DH would mind. Him and I would probably rent a hotel for the night and head back the next day, or whatever.

Cleveland is 3.5 hours from Dayton the only way you can go, so if Dayton is 4 hours Cleveland is probably 7.

I'd be willing to go to Dayton if somebody could bring me on their way from up north though... I could do a little bit of gas money if needed.

I don't know. Mapquest says Cleveland is four hours from where I live. I get what you're saying though. That's weird.

I was getting Elkhart and Evansville confused (sorry; I know they're nothing like the same place). Looking at the map it totally makes sense how they're the same distance.

Can you tell the end of the quarter is nearing?
