I don't know if you read my thread about yet another kitten being dumped in my garden, well, I've left him to it, simply because I can't take anymore in (my man is allergic to cats - haha, I'm not popular at the moment) also it is better for him if he learns how to be a self sufficient feral as its impossible to find homes in Indonesia.
Anyway, there is an adult female, known as Mimi who lives in and around our garden, and though he's definitely not her kitten, she seems to have taken him under her wing. We've seen the little one trying to play with her on occassion but I just went out there because I could hear him crying (its raining stair rods!) and she was calling to him in response and looking for him. He appeared, wet through and she showed him the way to our car port for shelter, I went out to dry the worst of the water off him and she told me off, and now she's licking him dry!! So sweet, she's not even his mother. I'm glad he has someone taking care of him. I've been giving him a little food but don't want him to be dependent on me because I should be leaving soon.
