Bea IS NOT going home Tuesday!!!!

I really shouldn't be this peeved, I mean the lady is still willing to take her....DIL got in a car accident, has 2 infant boys.....she's laid up so she's flying off for several weeks to help them out.

She's stalled me for almost 2 months now. The fact of that matter is, though....if she doesn't take her I euthanize her. So I keep letting her stall.

I think she sincerely wants Bea, but a part of her is worried about her dying right away.

So now all I have for a time for Bea to go home is "in a few weeks. *Hopefully* before June".

Oh, the hope I'm clinging to? She's already re-named Bea. She'll be Zelda, which means "grey warrior".

I think I need a drink.

Slightly yes, but I could use the huge space she occupies greatly for my own kitties. See, I had no idea I'd have this cat for 3-4 months when I brought her home.

Wow 2 months?! I wouldn't feel comfortable with someone taking a cat after they stalled for 2 months.

She said she wouldn't be taking these trips. And one was legitimate, her work called me & told me they mandated a week long training. She offered to show me flight stuff to prove to me....offered to pay for supplies, etc. If Bea was there, she wouldn't be taking these trips.

Fact of that matter is....if this lady doesn't take her, I euthanize her. I don't have many options here. I cannot keep this cat much longer, she can't "stall" on me again, I will have to euthanize her. We have had no interest in her other than this one lady in 4 months.

Who will take an 8 year old cat who doesn't like other animals, occaisonally bites, doesn't use the litterbox very well, needs her bum washed daily, doesn't groom herself so needs regular baths/combing, & needs to be on an Rx diet for life....and regular urinalysis/blood panels every 6 months or so to monitor health? She has many chronic health issues.

I'm second guessing this woman myself, but I have to hold out hope.....because options are few. I haven't put this cat through all this misery just to give up now....

She should rename her Murphy. As in Murphy's Law. Because it seems like with this poor cat, if it can go wrong, it will go wrong.

Hopefully these unplanned trips just represent a bunch of bad luck in a short amount of time, and not cold feet on this woman's part. And kudos once again to you for all that you've done for Bea!

Sending lots of vibes that this woman comes through for Bea.
After all Bea's been through and everything you've done for her, she deserves it!

I wouldn't give up yet, Natalie. Stuff happens, and it could very well be that Bea's potential adopter doesn't have too many options right now.

That's what I'm hoping.

But I naturally do not trust people. A part of me wonders if she's just stalling until I give up & euthanize Bea.

I do hope that it is just a one off bad time in her life, or that you had another person interested. I hope that something good happens, for both your sake.
