Here's a video of the shelter cats available at our local shelter in Cedar Hill, TX, today. Obviously kitten season is here. They have two cages of kittens, plus a number more were brought in while I was there. One litter of 3 was too young to be away from mama; the person who brought them in said they appeared in her garage overnight, and there was no sign of the mother.

You mean the first one?

He is neutered and a real lover. He IS a little rambunctious, which caused him to be adopted once and returned.

I visited the shelter yesterday, and Quanah, the long-haired orange and white kitty wasn't there. I had good and bad feelings; I hoped he'd been adopted, but was afraid he might have some other problem...

The ladies saw me come in and came over to me to assure me that Quanah had been moved to our vet's office. The keep at least one cat in a cage in their lobby, available for adoption, and he was the one they put in this week.

The good news is that they originally sent up Cicero, one of the short-haired orange cats, but the vet's staff fell in love with him and adopted him, freeing up the space for Quanah.

The also good news is that the sleek black beauty was also gone, as was the snow-shoe looking cat, who was the "week's special" in the local newspaper.
