If we are wearing coats, we take a bottle of water with us and I'll put a snack pack of trail mix in a baggie. We only pay for tickets - I refuse to pay for popcorn or something to drink - it cost more then the ticket does

i would like to open a theater here, Like the one we used to go to in Indoensia.
big over sized stuffed lazy boy chairs. or seats for 2. each had a small table in front of you. you could order pizza or other foods, wine, beer, ice cream. you even had a remote to order more drinks.

yea tickets where alot, hm about 14 dollars, each. But it was nice.

I haven't gone lately but there is a $5 theatre nearby that gives out free popcorn and serves alcohol which is fun to go to. They show some mainstream films but mostly focus on the indie, foreign or anime films. There is also a $3 theatre that I have never been to. They only show like 3 films.

One of the local clubs here used to have something similar called Brew & View.

I go about once a month with mum and one of my sisters, we have lunch or dinner as well. We never buy anything to eat/drink at the cinema.

It's our spinsters day out

The last time we went to the theater was when the last Pirates movie came out and John refused to wait and see it when it came out on video. Otherwise, we wait.

I am super claustrophobic so I only go to the theater if I REALLY want to see a movie, and even then it is a daytime showing on the weekday when nobody will be there.

Movies are out so fast on DVD now, it doesn't even matter to me.

Under the cats, mostly.
We go occasionally.... usually at least once within 6 months or so. We only really go when we feel like going out - if we're going out for dinner, we'll check out what in the theatres and catch a movie if there's something that appeals. Nine times in ten though there's nothing interesting on.

Exactly. I have to remember to put my ticket money in an outside pocket of the purse, though, so I don't have to open the purse at the ticket window!

Right there with ya, sister. Around here, though, if I go to an 11:00am show on a Tuesday or Wednesday, I often have a private screening!

Deal! Pick a Cinemark, any Cinemark (for the fabulous tiered seating), and I'm there. Hey -- the new Indiana Jones is coming soon!

And let's take Bruce with us, just in case somebody breathes too loud.

I get the DVD's because i can't stand hearing people rustling their bags of sweets and popcorn
It's not too bad if it's just Gil and i eating something, but a full cinema of it is like having it in surround sound

Depends on the movie. A good action flick like IronMan and we have to go see it in the theater but if it's a chick flick than I have to wait for it on DVD.

Far far away!
Normally we go to the movies if it's a movie we just HAVE to see. Or if it's a speciall occasion like our anniversary or something.
And if it's a movie we want to see but not so sure if it will be good then we just download it or wait and rent it.

I can't remember the last time I went to a movie theater, so it's been a couple of years. I just wait for the DVD to come out.
We do have fairly frequent "showings" at school, though.

If I'm really excited to see it, I'll go to the theater. Most movies I wait to rent, though. I just don't have time to drop everything and go to the theater.

that's a good one for theatre, too - special effects are always better on the big screen!
how do you feel about Rave? there's a Rave in Flower Mound/Lewisville that's right off of 35 - easy access! exit 458 @ Swisher.

For us, it depends if its something we really want to see, or if we have the extra money
For awhile there we were going every other weekend because there were a lot that we wanted to see, plus - it was winter & not much else to do on a boring Sunday afternoon. So, for $20 we saw a movie & got popcorn & beverages & had a nice little date

I think the last movie we saw was 10,000 BC. That was good
