A Little Worried

Okay, Shinobi has started acting strangely today... she won't stop crying and won't let me out of her sight. She wants to sit on my lap, but doesn't seem comfortable there and just gets right back down. She seems to want me to follow her from the computer room to the bedroom, but she just ignores me once we're in there... she's also occasionally making this little "urk" noise that almost sounds like she's got a hairball. She's had hairballs before, but never shown any of this behavior... are these beginning signs of labor, or is something wrong, or is she just weird today?


...Just called the vet, they say it sounds like first stage of labor, though she hasn't shown any other signs of being near...

Can cats have false labor?

Sounds like she's going to have them soon. My cat didn't show many signs other than clinginess the day before she had them.

She's had three kittens! Though I'm still a little concerned - I can't tell what it is, but there's what looks like two bubbles protruding from under her tail. She isn't pushing, just lying there, so what is it and what do I do?

bubble turned out to be another kitten. Though I was under the impression that the sacks they're born in are supposed to be semi-transparent. Hers was opaque.
