I've got a vets appointment for Beauty on Tuesday, due to her scratching her ears. So Tuesday 5:00 in the evening, I've got to catch Beauty, tell her yes she IS going in to her carrier, take her to the vet, stop her if she tries to escape out the door of the vets ...

See how busy I'll be Tuesday evening? So if I'm not on here on Tuesday you'll know why.

I think the vet will be safe - the worst Beauty has ever done to him is shout when he checked her for arthritis last time she went in.

She's not scratching quite as much but today I had to scruff her in order to get the drops in - she wouldn't let me get them in otherwise!

Scruffing looks cruel, but it doesn't hurt the cat - it's the way mother cats hold their kittens when they are moving them, for those who don't know.

Either that, or an ear infection - which isn't serious unless it's untreated. I thought Maverick had earmites a few months ago, and treated him accordingly. But when his ears didn't get any better, I took him into the vet, which was when I found out he had an infection. It cleared up nicely with the antibiotics & ear drops..

Good luck & good vibes for Beauty!

The vet's had a look at her and he says it's an ear infection (he showed me some dark stuff in her ears - infected tissue he called it but I call it gunky stuff)

She definitely doesn't have ear mites.

He's put her on ear drops (ones that don't contain alcohol. The ones we were using contain alcohol which he thinks was aggavigating the infection)
