hi, i have a problem with one of my kittens. they were newborns when somebody left them on my porch so i brought them up myself. i know newborns face great difficulty to survive without their mother..so now i'm encountering a lot of problems. sometimes i feel very sad..

back to the problem: my kitten has some redness and blackness around the genital area and the hind legs and it appears to be spreading. i'm afraid it's a parasite-cld it be ringworm or other parasites? my vet is closed until next next week. i'm afraid it will get worse.

could u give me any home remedies i cld use to make it better? is warm water ok? or does it make it worse? (cos the kitten mews even harder when i try to use warm water to wipe)

It is difficult hand rearing kittens, they come up with all sorts of unexpected things. Ringworm usually shows as bare patches, often circular in shape. I can't offer any hoe remedies - that might be dangerous until it is diagnosed, but is htere any way you can separate the kitten from the others until you can get to a vet? How old are they now?

I think it has to be checked by a vet, I've never heard of anything like this in kittens, is there any way you can call an emergency help line? It doesnt sound healthy.

I would observe as much hygiene as you can until you get to a vet - no shared bowls, blankets, and yes, wash yourself between handling the kittens. I do hope you find a solution soon.
