I adopted Ashley ("Ash") from the local shelter on April 18. She is a blue classic tabby and the shelter estimated her age at between 1.5 and 2 years. Introductions between her and Missy couldn't have been easier. That evening I let them see each other and Missy hissed and growled a bit as expected. I separated them overnight but put them back together again the next morning. Missy hissed/growled for 5-10 minutes but then settled down and the 2 of them have been together ever since. The third night they were together I caught them sleeping in the same chair.

Ashley has been at the vet all day getting spayed and microchipped and Missy has been lost without her. I left her there overnight so she'd stay confined and less active and will pick her up in the morning.

I've always heard females were harder to introduce, but it looks like you have a pair of gems there.

Shes very pretty ........... you may have to do another intro when you bring her back. She will be smelling completely different.

Here's a picture I took just a few minutes ago:

There wasn't a single hiss or growl from Missy when I brought Ashley back. She was just glad to see her!

Thanks for the compliments!
