He wasnt a particularly nice man and would feel his presence stairing down at the stairs e appeared too be blocked there.... going up those stairs and past him is the loft wher in my stupid days id sit and play with oujee boards.. needless too say mr nasty felt free too join in...
but his wife was freindly i could pick up on her via the lavander smell and certain objects like the orginal stairwell...

since moving too wales theres an old mill by me i refuse too go near because of
the emotion i pick up on theire it brings a horrible gut wrenching fear i have never really done any reasearch but ill go do that now and bring back any info i find!
me too! but i dream things that happen (usually things that are going to happen to ppl i am close to or major things like the OKC bombing.) all the women on my moms side of the family are like this.
i dreamed about patches and when saw her, i knew i was meant to adopt her even tho i didnt have the money! (i think ive mentioned it in other threads)

we have ghost kitties we hear all the time, too. my kitties have different tags on so we can distinguish them apart when they are running thru the apt or when we're trying to catch them, etc. oftentimes late at nite, mom will be online or we'll be watching a movie and she'll ask what so-in-so is doing or i'll be home alone and wonder what which ever cat is up to because i can hear them jingle a lot and then realize that both of them are asleep in the window beside me or even in my lap!! extremely creepy

theres even been times ive gone to pet one laying on the chair behind me because i can feel it hitting me with its tail and THERES NO CAT THERE!!

I had strange things happen too. After my Mom died from Breast Cancer I was having a soda in my A&W Mug. The Soda shot into out of the Glass into the air. The Mug is in my Cabinet now and I will never use it again. Whiskers layd on me after she died. I felt something heavy on me where she always wuld lay. The last strange thing was Yoshi. Last months I saw him. I was on the computer and it was in the middle of the night. He stood in front of the Sofa. I think Coco saw it to because she kept Meowing. I just lost him Jan 11. It made me Cry.

Have you heard of "Ghost Boxes"? I just learned about them recently. They are somewhat similar to EVP except you get to hear the answers in 'real time' rather than recording and playing it back.

I understand how you feel. I lost my TommyBoy last month, he was Boris' best pal. The other day, Boris was out in the front room where Tommy always slept, he was out there barking (bobcats don't meow) as he would always do when he would talk to Tommy. Made me wonder if Tommy came back for a visit.
lol i dont even like making contact with the living.
i see no reason to make contact with the dead
Because you don't have to look at them

My dog snoopy a king charles cavalier passed away age 17 we were very very close,i was absoloutly distraught, but anyway we got up the next morning and my little sister who was only 5 at the time was really upsett with us she said you all lied to me snoopy isnt dead she has been sleeping on Traceys bed all night!! To be honest no experiances scare me like this I always say its not the dead you want to worry bout its the living lol

Missy hasn't done this for awhile but it always made me curious when she would be in the other room and suddenly come dashing full speed into the room with her tail and back hairs standing on end. One time I noticed Junior staring intently at the door right before she came racing in. I'd go into the room where she came from but could never find anything that could startle her like that.

Wow - I got goosebumps reading this thread!
Maybe it really IS other kitty (or people) ghosts! We don't know anything about the history of this house, but it was built in the 60s, so plenty of time for lots to have happened!

My father passed away a little more than 3 years ago and I KNOW he haunts me (in a good way!). He was never a big fan of cats so I'm sure one of the things he does is "freak" George out - which usually freaks me out
Things really start to happen around the anniversary of his death (December). An example is the tv turned on in the middle of the night - in the living room. I thought maybe George had somehow stepped on the remote and that turned it on. Nope - George was laying in bed... So I thought just maybe there was a timer on the tv to turn it on at a specific time - ya, no. (and its not like I would have set it to turn on at 1am or whatever time that was!!).

I do catch George staring up at things and meowing at "nothing" - I usually tell my dad to "knock it off" and continue on doing whatever it was I was doing!

(if only he'd tell me what the winning lottery numbers are...)

On Easter we lost one of our beloved kitties to cancer. When he was alive, one of my kitties would always go flirt with him whenever she saw him- rolling around in front of him, purring, trying to lay near him, trying to groom him etc. She was absolutely obsessed so we would jokingly call them husband/wife. Well about a week after he passed, I was holding her over my shoulder as usual while talking about him and all of a sudden, she completely freaked out and forcefully jumped off me without warning, leaving a few scratches through my clothing. No sudden noises or anything, totally out of the blue. We joked that she had just seen his ghost...but really, did she? She's never spooked like that before.

To cool!!! You should start a topic on evp reading and ghosts. My house is 100 years old and it has spirits.
My husband and I used to take his Generation 3 night scope out to the old cemetary to look for ghosts. We saw some weird things out there. I get the creeps now when we go out there. I think we wore our welcome out with the residents of the cemetary.

I was going to start a thread on that topic and forgot
On Tuesday night, I am going to do more EVP readings at my friends old house. I am bringing a video Camera too, as well as 2 digital recorders. I want to get a thermal imaging camera, but they cost a lot of $$$$, maybe I can find an older used one. I am wanting to find more places to go as well. Haven't tried a cemetary yet though

Interesting about the cemetery...I would think that people wouldn't hang around their bodies, but around the places they used to inhabit. So in other words, IMO ghosts probably don't hang around cemeteries.

We saw some unexplained things in the cemetery! This cemetery is on the old oregon trail in Nebraska. The night scope we have is a infared and starlight. Yes, spirits can be attached to where their physical body resides. I would think that spirits can visit pretty much anywhere they want to.. They are not limited to just one place.

I live in a 100 year old house that has a resident spirit. My cats and I saw a shadow come down the stairs. I was standing at the kitchen looking out when it came down the stairs. When it rounded the corner it must have sensed our presence and it went back up the stairs. Frankie's tail puffed up, and Frankie and Zoey ran up the stairs after it. I would would have put it off as my imagination but the cats saw it too. We have had many other bizarre things happen in this house.

Since we have lived here we have had 4 of our cats pass away from natural causes and I think they come to visit from time to time also.
