I've posted about it in the moderators' forum, and I also suspect that some ads are being added or adjusted, as I'm not getting the pop-ups (I have advertising switched off, and will switch it on and see what I get).
ETA: I'm getting them when I switch the advertising on, and adjust my browser to allow pop-ups, so some changes are apparently being made to the ads.

Sorry about the inconvenience. There's nothing I can do about it, but I'm sure whoever is making the adjustments will resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

Yeah I get a pop up with every different page I go to... like entering a forum, clicking on a thread, going to page 2 of the thread, posting a reply... It's really really annoying haha

It seems to have gone away. Something that might help is if it happens, notice what ad is displayed after you click "OK".

I've PMed and emailed the head tech about this, but hopefully it has meanwhile been resolved.

Hmmmm very strange. There is a new type of ads being delivered, the ones with the dog movies, so I suspect it may have had something to do with that. They are not supposed to be pop-up ads, as we never serve those, and if they did cause a pop-up then this isn't right. I'll get in touch with the ad agency right away. Sorry about the inconvenience guys and thanks for all the feedback. Keep it coming if you see more of that, please.

Heard back from the ad agency. Yes, there was a malfunction on the adserver and it has been corrected yesterday at 6 pm. They apologized and promised it won't happen again.

I'm getting that test pop up thingy right now....about 5 times in the last few minutes...

What ad are you seeing when you click ok?

ETA: Also what browser are you using?

And is it in a particular forum?

You may want to empty your browser cache and see if it goes away.
