My cat had his leg spriend today after a fight with a stray cat. We couldn't take them to any vets because they were all shut. He's ok, normally we put all the 5 cats in the kitchen with food and water and also a catflap so they can get out. Trouble is there are 2 stray cats that come in and start eating all the food and fight with our cats. Since one of our cats are ingered I have him in the living room/dining room. All he does is lye in his basket and I have to put him in the kitchen before I go to bed but I don't want him to get hurt. I tried putting him back in the kitchen a minute ago but one of the strays just scratched him...

I don't wanna get him hurt, my idea is to get out a litter box, food and water and leave him in the living room and close the doors. But it gets hot at night, If I leave the doors open then He'd wake mum up.

Should I put him in the kitchen and risk him getting injered? or leave him out risking getting told off?

If he's injured (how do you know it is just a sprain?) I would recommend taking him to an emergency vet.

In the case that you can/will not do that, I would do whatever you need to do to keep the cat safe and comfortable. Can you keep him in your room? Can you discuss the situation with your mom so that she understands that you have him in the living room so that he is safe. Or, can you somehow seal off the cat flap for the evening?

Those are a few options, but I would take him to the vet. At very least, get him there tomorrow to get checked out unless he makes a miraculous recovery overnight.
