Question of the day - May 1st! :)

Happy May Day everyone!

If you could get an advanced degree at any school of your choice, for FREE - would you? What would you get your degree in? Would you want to go back to school?

I used to dream of getting a music degree from NYU. I wanted to be in music theater. I would still love to do that, but being more sensible now, I think I'd get some sort of business degree from an Ivy League like Harvard or Yale.

Philosophy hands down.

I would get my advanced degree in clarinet performance because I would love to be able to play that well. I'm not sure about the school because I'm not really that knowledgable (sp?) on the big music schools. I'm practically a sophomore in my Bacherlor of Music in Music Education (emphasis on instrumental teaching), so I really have a long way to go!

I would, and I think I would try for Criminal Justice, it's something that has always interested me.

I would definately get my MSN if it didn't cost me anything! I don't care about what school, but I would like to get my Master's eventually anyway.

is it bad to say that i wouldnt? at least not at this point in my life, i dont want to be stuck trying to earn a degree when ide rather just start something for myself

I have absolutely no clue. I really feel if I was passionate about what I wanted as a career I would pursue it free or not. So I wouldn't either.

I would get my MSW (masters in social work) which is what I'm working on right now. Sadly though I'm only a jr. in my BA program. I've got a ways to go, but if it was free! I would retake some classes that I got Cs in!!

Doesn't matter where but I would like to have a degree in Education.

I would go in to family law. Work mostly as an adoption lawyer, since I wnt to help people find their families... I was adopted and i also gave a baby up for adoption,big part of my life.

I would get my MSN right here in my backyard, at Johns Hopkins. I want to be a family NP....eventually. My boyfriend is graduating from Johns Hopkins this month with a Master's in Public Health.....so we have to deal with his school debt for a little bit before I go back.

I would love to get my degree in interior decorating and design. And maybe a minor if Fashion.

I'm working on the decorating degree, but I have had to drop out because of cost.... *sigh*
Hopefully I can go back ASAP!

English Lit at Cambridge University.

I'm actually in the process of researching schools to get my Master's. I'm thinking of getting it in either Human Resources Management or Health Care Management. I already have a bachelor's in Business Management, but with those Master's programs, I don't know what jobs would be available for them.

I am! I'm getting an advanced degree in geophysics for a charge of negative dollars. (I'm actually paid for the research I'll be using for my thesis.)

I would go back and get a masters in English with an emphasis on creative writing and perhaps get the courage to write the books that are in my head.

Or something else creative, like Theatrical Performance, Voice, etc.

I don't know where I would go.

In reality, I am looking at going back to school to learn web design, possibly in the fall, to make myself more marketable as a writer/ professional communicator.

I would like one in culinary or weather.
My Sister has one in Criminal Justice but she hasnt found a Job.
