Did Jake decide to dig my mattress? Not just ANY mattress but my brand new Simmons pillowtop?!

He put about a 1 foot long tear and hole in it!

It's less than a year old too!

Does anyone know how to fix this? I was thinking of sewing it but it's a silk fabric and I don't think the stitches will hold

HELP!?

Could you maybe find some cool iron patches?
I don't know anything about pillow-top repair, sorry.

Did you show him the evidence and give him the "Bad Dog" glare?

Oh I didn't have to.. He slunk out of the bedroom like.... a scorned dog

He knew what he did.. He won't even come in the bedroom now

I hope someone has a good idea about how to fix it!

I would call the manufacture and see if its still under warranty if you've only had it for a year.

In the mean time though- you definitely want to get a crate and keep Jake crated when he's not supervised so that things like this do not happen again. (or, could you just keep your bedroom door shut so he can't get back in there to tear it up?) He is likely just bored and needs something to keep him stimulated like a few good toys/chew treats or a long walk.

Sorry about your mattress

Well, Jake hasnt been in a crate for well over 2 yrs now. He's usually very well behaved.....usually

He has plenty of toys and gets lots of exercise

I am just going to keep the door shut when I'm not here
