I am waiting for my little seal point siamese to be ready. Should be ready very soon so I wont be waiting long! Its so exciting though...we just visited her yesterday and awwww I
her!

we were going to rescue another little kitten that really needed help (a mix of some sort) but last night and this morning we had to make a tough decision that it was too much for us to take on.

BUT I also found out this morning (after we had already canceled pick up with the last one) that my siamese babies sister became available as someone couldnt pay the deposit... so I jumped on that and now I am waiting on two little siamese girls!!

I am officially going to get an Ocicat kitten as of last night...but I don't know when. I'm sure it will be awhile since there is probably a long list ahead of me. I'd like a chocolate spotted silver, female or male. By the time I get one we hopefully will have a bigger place too.

Seeing Tsekani the Egyptian Mau is kinda making me wonder if I should get one of those instead...such a cutie!

I am getting a Sphinx after we buy a House. I already have a Breeder. She is in Petaluma and will deliver to here if we want. We can also meet her at a Cat Show or go to her place.

I am getting another silver mau, a female next Spring. I plan to show Tsekani in the meantime and decide what his quality is for possible breeding. He has nice contrast and conformation, but his eyes are not solid gooseberry green yet. He's a year old as of April.

He's got some time
And even if the eye color doesn't come in by 18 months, he could still produce some nice kittens. I think the judges are starting to get harder on eye color since the standard became much more strict, but as long as he's got that green rim abound the pupil, I wouldn't worry.

New Standard:

PENALIZE: short or round head. Pointed muzzle. Small, round or oriental eyes. Cobby or oriental body. Short or whip tail. If no broken necklaces. Pencillings in spotting pattern on torso. Solid stripes on underside of body instead of "vest button" spots. Lack of any evidence of green in the eye color of cats 8 months or over and amber cast in eye color in cats over the age of 1 year 6 months. Poor condition.
DISQUALIFY: lack of spots. Blue eyes. Lack of green in eye color in cats over the age of 1 year 6 months. Kinked or abnormal tail. Incorrect number of toes. White locket or button distinctive from other acceptable white-colored areas in color sections of standard.
EGYPTIAN MAU COLORS
EYE COLOR: light green "gooseberry green." Allowance is made for changing eye color, with some discernable green by eight months of age and full green eye color by eighteen months of age.
Preference given at all ages for greener eyes.

So excited! The breeder I've been in touch with is expecting a litter next week and I'm hoping to get a lavender Ocicat if she's right and they get one. I just can't wait to find if my baby kitten will be born in this litter!

I had wanted a chocolate spotted silver kitten, but lavender is my favourite color so its puurfect, and otherwise I'll be waiting alot longer.

She is in Napa, which is perfect because any excuse to go near wine country is great
Plus, I'm going to name him/her something wine related probably. Do people usually pick up their new cats, or what? I'm hoping to go pick it up since it's not that far away from me.

My Breeder gave me a choice. We can go to her place in Petaluma or she can bring it here. she She said we can meet at a Cat Show or she can meet us somewhere. It depends on the Breeder. My Sphynx will cost 1200. Here is the Breeders Website (http://www.kemenehune.com/) If we go over there to get the Cat we will end up in Napa and Sonoma. We might end up at my Brothers in Santa Rosa also.

Kittens are usually picked up, unless you live far away and they are shipped. Make sure you don't forget the carrier

I just got this Email from the Breeder.
Hi Jacky,

Glad to hear that you found a house. I hope that you get it. Let me know what happens and I will keep you updated on kittens. I am expecting a litter in July, with the kittens being ready for their new homes in November.

I like the chocolate and the lavender ones by themselves (to the right of the picture as you are looking at it on screen). They both have very nice spotting right now.

The others have more of a faded spotting at this point. I forgot - are you just getting one as a pet or possible show? If possible show, the ones I mentioned would probably be the best right now - spotting wise

Nevermind, they already got spoken for. *sigh* so I'm still lookin for my Ocicat kitten. Had no idea it was this hard...but a lady in LA has said she has a couple of females available still, so maybe I'll get lucky with one of them

It's more or less confirmed that I will pick up my female at the CFA Internationals in November. She should have been granded by that time

My male from US, well that's another story...I will wait. Anything good is worth waiting for...especially since my breeder wants me to have a cat that can kick *** in the show rings!
