Is he crazy!!!?!!!
We have THREE cats and ONE house! I told him the only way we would get a fourth cat is if there was a really deserving cat at the shelter.

Anyone else have this problem?!!

Did you say IF? Of course there's a really deserving cat at the shelter.

Actually, the problem I had was that he said 3 was more than enough, and then HE was the one who fell head over feet for a little black Mojo girl, who also fell for him. And that's how we ended up with 4!

I was waiting for someone to catch the IF! That would be why I'm not going to a shelter any time soon!

What is it with men?!

I'm the one who tries to convince him one more won't make a difference. I originally had him convinced that we could get a third kitty this summer I found orphaned kittens, which I seem to have found every summer the last few years. Then our cat unexpectedly died and we got a new kitten in January, so I think the deal is off.

2 is absolutely the limit here according to him, but we had 3 after Fred passed away. Then he rescued his darling Fluffy and we are back to 4.

I can always "hook you up" if you are really interested. I think if you met Maddy (the dog) you'd love her. And hey, it's not like you're adding another cat!

Don't feel bad - took me months to convience DH that we really should get another Ocicat. We want to travel and he says this is the limit (3 cats/1 dog).

I will admit it's hard to find a sitter when you want to go for the weekend. Sitter if for the dog; cats are fine

As someone who has 4 in a 400 sq foot apartment. There really isn't much of a differnce between 3 & 4. Yeah there is more litter box scooping, but what's a little more poo when you get all that extra love?

I wish I had the problem especially considering my MIL's barn cat just had two more kittens and I guess one looke just like her (DLH dilute tortie!).
Sometimes I hate visiting them because I know I can't bring them home... but I really really want to!

I am glad someone else asked this question. I currenlty have 3 and was thinking of more. There are so many at our shelter that need homes. I don't just want to give them a home and feed them, but I want to really know each personality and there special quirks. I am afraid that if I get too many I won't be able to have special time with each. Does that make sense? How many is too many? Of course I wish I could take them all home, maybe that is my problem. I know I am not the sole "fix" to the homeless problems.

I know what you mean! We need more people who are willing to take in cats from the shelter!

Well, he was all for "no more cats" until we babysat a kitty for a couple weeks and the house didn't really seem any more full, other than full of more LOVE!!!

Oh c'mon....tell me you can resist this face!! We've had this boy for 5 months now! He's just about a year old. Sweet as pie, playful....fuzzy.

It's not the clearest pic of him....but he was up & off to try to get in my lap after I took it!

Im the one trying to convince myself that I don't need a fourth. My sister recently took in to stray females. Who both just so happened to be pregnant. We're pretty sure they are sisters as I remember them as kittens at a neighbors (my sister and I are neighbors). Anyways the one Calico had 7 kittens and the Tortie had 4. OMG there is one little Calico I wish I could bring home she is just adorable. But my house is so small and we already have 5 dogs (though three live in the basment apartment with my roommate) and three cats. I know we're at our limit but I would love to have a 4th someday.

That is what I told myself when I had 3 except I said I would fill the 4th slot with any cat in need. Of course it only took a matter of weeks before I found such a cat at my vets. Jeta is a great kitty and I'm glad I could give her a good home.
