A coon in my doorway...nope i did.
i scared him out of my office and shut the door.

Gee. talk about outsourcing labor, now they are hiring animals to work here.

i called the guards, and asked them if they have ID badge to the raccoon .

Of course that confused them, so i explained that there is raccoon running the hallways. So they asked me,

what they are they supposed to do ...

well catching wildlife does not fall to the IT people.
i suggested they check the park service, to see if they have 24 hour number.

right now, the raccoon has knocked over the trash can, and is munching on some pizza. right outside my door.

gee, i hope they catch him before i have to go to the bathroom.

I once had a run in with a coon. Dad said they must be attracted to stinky people!

Hope your "little friend" goes away soon. Although, since he found food, not likely.

So he's a big coon!! Loads of fun!! Too bad about the bottle thing, not you'll have to brave the coon sooner or later!! I agree with whitecatlover though, now that he's found food he's probably pretty content and doesn't want to leave! You'll have a pet raccoon to go to work and see!!

Yeah I wouldn't let them kill the poor guy either! He's just trying to get a decent meal!
Ummm round here anything can be a pet! I have friends who have pet racoons! They're awesome! Although I dont think starting out with a 25 pounder would be a good idea!

Hmmm, call animal control? Or even late at night when those numbers aren't 24 hour, I think it's ok to call 911 - especially if you can't get out of your office hahaha.... seriously, I saw a Cops episode where the people called 911 because hundreds of birds had flown into their chimney and they unknowingly opened the flue and some came in, so the cops came to help and then got ahold of animal control... I called 911 once cuz my house caller ID had said "Camden County Jail" and the message they left was just background noise... they sent an officer just to take note/listen to the message and calm me down (for some reason, it didn't bother me at first and then the more I thought about it the more it freaked me out and by the time the hot young cop - of course! - got there, I was bawling... I kept apologizing saying "I have no idea why I'm crying!"

Aw, we get them around here sometimes in the daylight. They are displaced and lost their homes due to all the construction.
Poor little guys.

If he's wearing a mask, maybe he's trying to steal some equipment?

hehe , yea, he was trying to steal some left over and pizza and chicken hehe.

i caught him by the way, he went to sleep in the garbage can of all things,

so i did the old sneak thing.,dumped him to a box., We taped the lid shut, and carried him out to the woods, with a bag of food scraps. Cut the top of the box then ran hehe

that was almost as much fun, ad the time someone left the outside door to the server open and we had 12 bats flying around in there.

Sweet! That's so much cooler than the budgie we caught at work one day.

"is that a wild bird?"

"Have you ever seen a wild bird in DAY GLO YELLOW?"

good job catching him!

never seen one that looked like this one before. He looks cool.

Thank you
no choice really, people wanted to just kill him.
not much in favor of just killing a animal for no reason.

Good for you!

Killing him, honestly. Some people are just so stupid and brutal.

And he got food scraps! AWWW!

And bats in the server room - AWESOME.

(Then again, I'm thinking with an Irish perspective - our wildlife is rabies free, so you know, a lot less risky... BUT AWWWW!)

Good job Bruce. I would have done the same thing.

Of course I live out in the country, where people kill animals for no apparant reason, so I'm the crazy dude around here.

Especially since I have no qualms about telling people that I rescued a snake in our garage that was caught on some duct tape. Oh and yeah, the one about capturing the black widow in our hallway in a jar and letting her go at the woodline. I get alot of strange looks.

AWW! I'd have freaked at seeing the snake, but you did the right thing.

I can't claim to be nearly so moral as regards spiders however.

Good job!
So glad you caught him and took him back to where he belonged.
What a bunch of wimps with the idea of how to take care of it is to kill the poor thing. I pity the fool that tries to steal anything there cause they will be soon in a morgue.
