Question About Earning "Interest"

I think I recall reading somewhere (or maybe I dreamed it

) that the points we have in our bank account will no longer earn any interest. Is that true, or have I truly gone off my rocker?

I think it's 0.2% interest now or something equally low.

the percentage was lowered, but we still get it.

everyone was getting too rich. inflation was hitting and lets try to fix it before points were worthless.

It's still adds up to a nice %10 a month, I think? My husband is the mathematician here and he did the calculations back then, but it should still be a decent interest, if you wait long enough. Gotta combat inflation!
