would giving treats too generously cause the cat to not eat his regular food? I feed Solid Gold and give Royal Canin as treats now. The cat seems to like RC a lot more than solid gold.

Well, I can only imagine that giving cats treats is the same as giving children candy (remember what mom used to say?). So, I would say yes.

I would think so, too.

How much is too generously?

Yes, if you've really made her full with treats, or if she really doesn't like her regular food. Every time I open a new bag of Bonnie's kibble, she completely turns her nose up at it for a day or two and begs for treats instead.
