Boiling water + finger = ouch, bleep, blank, bleep

I was boiling some noodles for mac-n-cheese. I went to stir the noodles and must have gotten carried away because the tip of my middle finger went into the boiling water. As if that wasn't bad enought I turned on the cold tap in the kitchen sink and when I stuck my finger under it the water was still hot because I had been running hot water like five minutes before. So, I have an owie finger. Anyone wanna kiss it?
